Illbreak's The Flood to Be Released Next Week; Biloxi-based Imprint Records Survives Katrina
Atlanta based alternative rock band Illbreak is releasing its debut album, The Flood, on Imprint Records next Tuesday, September 6. The title of the album is both fitting and chilling considering the state of the Gulf Coast where Imprint has its offices, though word is that those offices did survive the wrath of Hurricane Katrina.
Biloxi, MS (PRWEB) -- Atlanta based alternative rock band Illbreak is releasing its debut album, The Flood, on Imprint Records next Tuesday, September 6. The title of the album is both fitting and chilling considering the state of the Gulf Coast where Imprint has its offices, though word is that those offices did survive the wrath of Hurricane Katrina. In addition, the first single, “How It Feels,” is impacting radio right now with lyrics that are now taking on a new meaning: “You Don’t Know How it Feels.”
While members of the Imprint Records staff had to flee Biloxi for their own safety, they are scattered throughout the Southeast and communicating with each other as best as possible in order to release the CD as planned.
"It is heartbreaking to see the destruction caused by Katrina,” says Jennifer Harrell, who heads up Imprint Records with her husband Todd, who plays bass for powerhouse rock band 3 Doors Down. “But we have worked too hard, and we believe too much in Illbreak to stop now. Todd and I will help to rebuild our community and will support Illbreak 100%."
Illbreak won Imprint Records’ “Search for the Next Rock Star” competition held last summer. After sifting through over a thousand entries for the competition spanning six states and representing 11 rock radio stations, 11 finalists were selected and Illbreak was the unanimous choice selected by the panel of judges made up of several industry veterans, including major label A&R reps.
Together as a band since 2002, Illbreak is a four-piece guitar-driven alternative rock band that has drawn comparison to Incubus, Live and Tool. But while those comparisons only serve as a reference point, Illbreak has a unique sound with an explosive live show that sets them apart from other bands. They have been honing their song writing and musical chops by performing locally and regionally, and aside from the aforementioned bands, Illbreak’s influences range from The Police, Radiohead, 311, The Cure, Deftones, Joe Satriani and Dream Theatre.
Illbreak is already getting a taste of bigger things to come, as tour dates to support The Flood are in place with 3 Doors Down, Staind, Breaking Benjamin and No Address.

Ellis "Nittie" Jenkins to Release Debut Single
"Not Gone Lose" is Nittie's introduction to the hip-hop world with smooth sounds and club groves.
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) -- Not Gone Lose is Nittie's introduction to the hip-hop world with smooth sounds and club groves.
Nittie, a San Francisco California native, was born into a musical family of platinum producers, consisting of four famous uncles. George "G1" Archie, who produced hits for R Kelly, DJ Quik and Tone Tony Toni. Uncle Jarvis La Rue Baker who produced and wrote hits for Shanice (I Love Your Smile), Al Jaurreau, Howard Hewitt, Pia Zadora and Ralph Tresvant. Nittie's uncle Larry White turned around the sounds for the Whispers' The Beat Goes On and Rock Steady, and Bobby Brown’s Don’t Be Cruel album and Joe Archie who produced the single.
Nittie's style is unlike any other. Nittie started writing and rapping at the age of 5. Now, 22 years later, he owns his own publishing and entertainment company and also is a writer for other R & B artists. Nittie’s main focus in music is to bring the Bay Area sound back and the live music and vibe of such artists as Tower of Power and En Vouge, but with the hip-hop style reminiscent of southern California’s Dj Quik.
Nittie’s first single offers four tracks for a peak at the rich influences that go into Nittie’s writing and production style. Not Gone Lose puts you in the mode to dance and just lay back and vibe album set to be released in the winter of 2005.
You can order the CD from cdaby.com.
To listen to a live radio program where Carletta will interview Nittie, turn into http://www.xradio.biz/lasvegas at 4 p.m. Eastern on September 8th.

The title song, “Take Your Time,” features Cindy Bolton on vocals. All three tracks on the promotional CD are produced by D. Carter, aka "Drawzilla," of Inasirkl Music Group. A 12-track album is scheduled for release summer 2005.
Already on a promotional tour promoting the new independent CD, the group will be featured at MediaPlay at the South Hills Mall, Poughkeepsie, NY on May 7, 2005 and MediaPlay in Middletown, NY on May 14, 2005.
Their first release, entitled “Let's Go,” a high energy tribute to the late, great Barry White, is a true testimony that the group will soon be placed in the entertainment industry among those with the greatest appeal to teens and young adults alike. Response was so great from their in-store listening party that store manager, Bonnie, states that “Let’s Go” has acquired the highest in-store selling record for a local release to date!” These events have been so successful that store managers continue to request more products!
This notoriety in the upstate communities has placed ChillQuest in the unique position of conducting a “School Boy Educational Tour”, which has them traveling and performing at schools, conventions and educational seminars, including one for the New York State Board of Education in Albany, NY, under the auspices of the New York State Higher Education Department. The tour is paneled by entertainment and music industry professionals that educate students about careers and opportunities in the music industry. Their consistent, professional performance record has gained them increased popularity, generating continuous requests for performances throughout New York’s Hudson Valley.
Through consistent constructive guidance, top notch production and ever evolving talent, ChillQuest has already and will continue to carve an irrefutable positive niche in the lives of all they touch.

Infidelity and Addiction Are 'Breaking Bonaduce,' But Can His Marriage Survive?
The Trials And Tribulations of The Life Of Danny Bonaduce Premieres Sunday, September 11 at 10:30PM*
NEW YORK, /PRNewswire/ -- America remembers Danny Bonaduce as the cute but spunky Danny Partridge in the 1970's classic series "The Partridge Family." Since then however, this former child star has lived a life filled with dichotomy as the hard partying "bad guy" while also trying to remain a loving family man.
Meeting and marrying seven hours into their first date, the Bonaduces, who have been together for fifteen years, have faced addiction, infidelity and Danny's "death wish" antics, but can they continue to survive as a couple? VH1 endeavored to tape a show about their unique marriage and family life but as production ensued the series took on a life of its own. "Breaking Bonaduce" premiering Sunday, September 11 at 10:30 PM is a dramatic, honest, and compelling look into the complex relationship between Danny Bonaduce, his wife Gretchen and their two children Isabella (10-years old) and Dante (4- years old).
"Breaking Bonaduce" quickly changed from a reality show into a serious documentary of a man and his family in crisis. For the first time on television, viewers will get an unprecedented look at the many attempts to save this marriage through the unique lens of the Bonaduce's couple's therapy sessions. The Bonaduces will be guided and challenged by their therapist, Dr. Garry Corgiat, who is their sounding board, sparring partner and hopeful conduit to success. Nothing is held back in these sessions and the emotions are all real as they both deal with Danny's descent into drug use, drinking binges, sex addiction and his resulting 30-day stay in rehab.
*all times ET/PT
The series is not without its funny and light moments as Danny and Gretchen form a united front when it comes to raising their children -- whether it's taking the family out to dinners at Sizzler, father-daughter karate lessons, or a family day of sailing.
Somehow these soul mates have found one another and viewers will get the feeling that without each other they could not survive but with the mountain of issues, quirks and phobias that define the Bonaduce's relationship, the bounds of Danny's family and his marriage are tested.

"to devote a specific time to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples."
The documentary is part of think MTV, the network's pro-social initiative which aims to inform and empower its audience on the issues that matter to them most, including education, sexual health, discrimination, and the environment. think MTV: Global will examine international poverty, AIDS, the effects of war, and other issues of global concern to young people.

"We are grateful to the band for sharing their first-hand account of the perils of war, and we know it will be an enlightening experience for our viewers."
ROCKED was conceived and filmed by War Child Canada as part of that organization's efforts to draw international attention to the plight of children affected by war worldwide.

The special also tracks the band's much-publicized evacuation from Congo, assisted by Canadian peacekeeper Chuck Pelletier, after a sudden and unexpected outbreak of violence between government soldiers and troops loyal to a renegade commander. (The band subsequently named their most recent album Chuck in his honor.) More than 3 million people have been killed in the Congo during the past 6 years.

Deryck Whibley, Sum 41's lead singer, added, "Our being there, hearing the bullets around us, the mortar fire, the injured being brought in for medical treatment, it reinforced our belief that more must be done to prevent war and protect innocent civilians."
"The war in the Congo is one of the world's worst humanitarian disasters," said Dr. Eric Hoskins, President of War Child Canada and Executive Producer of ROCKED. "This special tells the story of how we are all involved in the Congo's brutal war. It is also the story of what we need to do as global citizens in order to help bring an end to this senseless tragedy."

Sheryl Crow Announces 9 Very Special US Engagements
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Very Special Engagements? Why?
We have often seen these statements casually thrown away on the full colour ads in the back of the glossies, but this time it's authentic.
The difference in the presentation this time round is not about any new technological feats. It's not about the bells and whistles. Sheryl's not going to be descending from the rafters in a white gown and crown. As usual her show is going to be about the music. Each will be a special night not only because these are currently the only two shows on the cards for the whole of Europe, but because of the fact that joining Sheryl, Tim Smith, Peter Stroud, Mike Rowe and Jeremy Stacey on stage will be a 12 piece string section.
On the new record a lot of the songs are embellished with an organic string sound, so in an effort to present an authentic auditory experience, the real thing will be there on stage. It only makes sense that David Campbell, father of Beck Hansen, and uber strings arranger, will actually be present to conduct as it was he who wrote the arrangements for the new songs on 'Wildflower.' Don't make the mistake in thinking that this new record is Yehudi Menuhin gone wild. It's more of a texture thing. A different feel. The guitars are still there and the strings complement that vintage Sheryl sound rather than force themselves upon you like a soon to be cast off novelty.
But it won't just be a night of new music. All songs from Sheryl's collection are potentially string friendly and some will be complemented with the sound of the live strings. Exactly which ones will make it to the setlist was being worked on last week when Sheryl and her bandmates settled down in her New York apartment to hammer out a compressed catalogue of tunes. Sourcing from all 5 (including Wildflower) of her studio albums they came up with a shortlist of some 25 songs. There may be some surprises.
What they came up with at the end of the night, well, we'll just have to see at one of these nine Very Special Engagements.
Wildflower will be released in the US on 27th September with the debut single Good Is Good preceding it on September 19th. The album will add to Sheryl Crow's tally of 25 million worldwide record sales from her hit albums Tuesday Night Music Club (1994), Sheryl Crow (1996), The Globe Sessions (1998), Live From Central Park (1999), C'mon C'mon (2002) and 2003's greatest hits collection, which reached double platinum status in the USA. During her career, Crow has won a remarkable nine Grammies.
Sheryl has teamed up with http://www.iloveallaccess.com/ to provide VIP ticket packages to her London shows. Packages include premium seating, an opportunity to attend Sheryl's soundcheck, pre-show parties and exclusive gifts. Sheryl will donate 100% of her proceeds to the US fund for UNICEF. To order packages, go to http://www.sherylcrow.com/ or http://www.iloveallaccess.com/
