New Rock CD by Pop Artist Latina Released This Week

With the release of Latina's second CD, Latina has proven she is a true musical artist. Strong lyrics and unbelievable guitar solos create music that will definitely move you, and shake your imagination.

(PRWEB) -- The brand new CD by Latina was released by So Fine Music this week.

Latina's debut CD only gave a hint of what was yet to come. Now with the release of her second CD "Till Then We'll Have Fun", Latina has proven she's a musical force to be reckoned with. The title rock anthem will move you. Then crank up the volume and get ready to rock when the second song starts. Her varied influences make her a powerhouse writer and performer with her own unique sound. Now that she owns the trademark to her name, Latina is ready to take her place in the international music scene. She was signed to the So Fine Music Record Label when she was only 14. Now 18 years old, this gorgeous young star will have you instantly addicted to her music and wanting more.

Latina creates, writes, arranges, performs and records all her own songs. Strong lyrics and unbelievable guitar solos create music that will definitely move you, and shake your imagination. Music to cry, music to smile, music to be alone, music to be in a crowd, music to respect.

Don't pass up a chance to see Latina live. It's an unforgettable experience. The crowd, the Band, and Latina, are all into it; this is what Rock is all about.

A high school graduate at the age of fifteen, Latina's creativity doesn't stop with her music. When Latina is not recording or performing, she is writing. She's not only writing music. She's writing books. Latina finished two novels from the age of 14 through 18. One is a science fiction thriller entitled "Clone Alone". There is a link to "Clone Alone" at www.SoFineMusic.com. Check it out. Latina's second book entitled "Hope For Sleep, (Confessions Of An Insomniac)" will be published soon. Her current project is a collection of short children's stories that she has been creating since the age of seven and a collage of urban legends and true scary stories, based on the events of her grandparent's life.

She made her actual recording debut at the age of two with her brothers and sister in the singing group "The Future." She comes from a family of nine children who are all singer/songwriters. They all follow in the footsteps of their parents who have been performing since they were children. Latina, with The Future, released the hit single "Mamma's Waitin' For Elvis To Come Back." They suddenly found themselves performing as the youngest group to open a concert at Denver's McNichol's Sports Arena. Their debut release led to tours for McDonald's Corporation, The United Way, and Children's Hospital. The Future wrote and recorded "Don't Take It Out On Us", a song to raise awareness of child abuse. Their song "My dad is a solider for the U.S.A." was played over the Armed Forces Radio for our soldiers during Operation Desert Storm. Performances of this song never leave a dry eye in the audience. They were acknowledged by President George Bush Sr. thanking them for being such great young Americans and remembering our troops.

Introducing the newest "Idol" Internet show, "Turn Up the Mic"

From American Idol to the making of the hit show TURN UP THE MIC

(PRWEB) -- We have all heard the story, seen the highlights of Harry Keane, Jr., the Irving man (now living in Rowlett) who sued Fox and the Producers of American Idol claiming he came up with the original concept and idea. The court, however decided that because Mr. Keane sent out his concept and idea unsolicited, he failed to protect his ownership interest.

Mr. Keane has never stopped developing his creative ideas. In the midst of all this lawsuit has put him through, Mr. Keane has risen to the top yet again. After eleven months of researching, developing and writing, Mr. Keane’s new show TURN UP THE MIC (a registered trademark of Turn Up The Mic, LP.) shows you can’t keep a creative mind down. The producers required me to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement before I could learn the details of the show. Without giving away his concept and idea, I can say that what I have read reveals this show is as good as it gets in reality television.

In the months ahead, Mr. Keane will have a web-site established which will enable an artist/entrant to up-load a 1 minute video of his/her audition along with an on-line contestant application and a $15 entry/evaluation fee. You no longer need to travel and spend all that money for a 30 second shot on American Idol.

In the meantime, the producers of TURN UP THE MIC are accepting contestant applications along with a 1 minute video and the $15 entry/evaluation fee by US mail. Applications and entry requirements are available through their web-site www.turnupthemic.com.

The winner of TURN UP THE MIC will win an estimated $1,000,000 recording contract.

Byron Zanos Reveals Secrets And Lies With Shows Celebrating Release Of His Debut CD Somewhere In The Middle

Singer/Songwriter to perform his witty and touching tunes at shows this summer and fall

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.(PRWEB) -- Miera One Music recording artist Byron Zanos is set to play several shows in New Jersey to celebrate the release of his debut CD Somewhere in the Middle, featuring the song “Secrets and Lies” and produced by Drew Yowell (Phoebe Snow, Sophie B. Hawkins, Herb Alpert).

On August 18th, Zanos walks The Walk onstage in America’s Playground, Atlantic City, NJ. After this full band show, the singer/songwriter goes solo at Border’s Books and Music in Ramsey, NJ on September 9th and October 14th. Somewhere in the middle, Zanos brings his unique songs to Border’s Books and Music in Fort Lee, NJ on Friday, September 16th. More dates throughout the United States will be announced soon.

Zanos’ lifelong love of music began in his parents’ living room, listening to his father’s opera collection. As a kid, Zanos had a more classical bent, with his first instrument being the piano. That all changed though, when he bought his first album: Guns ‘N’ Roses Appetite for Destruction. “It was like a bowl of Lucky Charms after eating oatmeal my whole life,” Zanos says.

Zanos’ wit permeates his music. With lyrics like “You bought ’Happiness for Dummies’ and you/you think you’re gonna teach me something” (“Pandora’s Box”), “You want everything to come the easy way/…money without all the working/weight loss on pasta and chips” (“Better Days”), “Pack your bags/looks like we’re going on a guilt trip again” (“Sleeping Sally”) and “Everyday life version 4.0/tech support is no help at all/answers in the next hot reality show – or in the drug that keeps grandfather’s love tall” (21st Century Boy), it’s hard not to laugh (as well as sing) along. However, other songs on Somewhere In The Middle, such as “Blind Today”, show a softer, more vulnerable side, and when Zanos sings “I never knew a foot so good to fit your shoes” in the aptly-named “Sweet Melancholy,” listeners are bound to be touched.

Edwards, formerly the lead guitarist with the Australian band “DegreesK” has developed and released a powerful new how to play guitar program for guitarists of all skill levels.

Having corresponded with several of Edward’s customers one theme seemed to echo throughout all their reviews of this product. Edward’s course Jamorama contains an unbelievable amount of information and is incredibly easy to understand and implement. Psytopia, an All Inclusive 7 Day Psychedelic Fundraiser & Festival for the Mind

Bands and speakers from around the globe are traveling to Jamaica to raise consciousness and money to aid charity.

Runaway Bay, Jamaica (PRWEB via PR Web Direct)– Psytopia (www.psytopia.org) is an all-inclusive, seven-day festival highlighting bands and speakers from around the world to raise awareness for some noble charities.

The event occurs Aug. 17 – 23, 2005, and includes performances by Conspirator (Feat. Marc, Aron & Jon of the Disco Biscuits), Alex Grey, Ozrics Tentacles, EROWID, High Times, Brothers Past, and The Church of Subgenius just to name a few. This new paradigm for a fundraiser has been steadily gaining global attention and praise.

The Coalition for Cosmic Consciousness, 501(c)3, designed the Psytopia fundraiser with the emphasis on the word fun. This event is unlike any other concert or festival and promises a plethora of once in a lifetime experiences.

Psytopia is being referred to as a “Psychedelic Festival” meaning the ability to see the world from many perspectives at once. The ensemble of performers, who are also spending the week at the resort, are planning on taking on the “Psytopian mentality” by taking this opportunity to experiment a bit themselves. This melting pot of amazing talent simmering under the Jamaican sun is sure to spawn some interesting new projects and spontaneous performances.

Another aspect that makes this event unique is that it is all-inclusive. The ticket price not only covers all of the entertainment, but also includes the hotel, meals & beverages, SCUBA diving, sailing, circus school, and even a Psytopia T-shirt.

When asked “why give it all away?” Alex Pearlstein, Director of the coalition replied, “We wanted to create an environment where money is not a deciding factor on how much you can enjoy yourself. When you start charging $9 just for water, an all-day concert becomes extremely expensive. I didn't want folks to have to decide between getting a shirt or passing out from dehydration.”

The event is directed at raising global consciousness and the attendees making up the “Psytopian Community” represent how far and wide these ideas spread. While 75 percent of the attendees are from the United States there are people from around the world making a pilgrimage to Jamaica to be apart of the event. People are traveling from the United Kingdom, Brazil, Italy, and Sweden to share their thoughts and ideas with other like minded individuals.

While the event boasts amazing performances by more talented individuals than could be listed here, it's not what the Coalition is the most proud of. Aside from the basic operating costs of the event, 100 percent of the profits are being donated to this year's charities. All of the performers and organizers of the event are donating their time and talent in the hopes of doing some global good. For this fact everyone involved deserve praise.

Pearlstein remarked “It's amazing to see such talented people participate in an event like this without asking, 'what's in it for me.' With some of the issues the world is facing these days; it's nice to see people leading by example and supporting a worthy cause or in this case causes.”

The goal for Psytopia is to raise funds and awareness for five charities. This year's beneficiaries are NORML (www.NORML.org), MAPS (www.MAPS.org), The Drug Policy Alliance (www.drugpolicy.org), The Dr. Albert Hofmann Foundation (www.hofmann.org) and Alex Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (www.cosmnyc.org).

You can learn more about Psytopia, all of the performers involved, and purchase tickets at http://www.psytopia.org

MusicFreedom.com Offers an Alternative to Independent Bands

J.C. Chasez from the musical group *NSync, Bill Marquez CEO of the internet search portal Netster.com together with famed producer Alex Greggs today launched an Internet music portal allowing independent artists and bands to sell their musical compositions directly to the buying public.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) -- J.C. Chasez from the musical group *NSync, Bill Marquez CEO of the internet search portal Netster.com together with famed producer Alex Greggs today launched an internet music portal allowing independent artists and bands to sell their musical compositions directly to the buying public.

With the proliferation of home recording studios, musicians today are producing radio quality musical compositions, however, with in store record sales plummeting record labels are more skittish then ever to sign on new acts. Record labels today will only sign on new acts if the act already has a large following and fan base, or demonstrable sales. This leaves even popular alternative rock bands such as Los Angeles based “Manic Mind” in a catch 22.

Enter Musicfreedom.com, which allows acts to upload their musical compositions free of charge on the portal and sell it directly to the buying public. Fans can search this database by the name of the artist or song name. Other users visiting the site can search by Musical Style, Mood or a by means of a “Sound Like” feature.

Alex Greggs who has produced acts such as *Nsync, Ricky Martin, M.I.A., Quad City D.J's and Duran Duran among others, and who's work all in all has sold over 50 million units says that this new service allows new acts to get immediate feedback from the buying public while at the same time generate revenues for their hard work and talent. The buying public can sample, vote on and buy cutting edge new music with just one click of the mouse.
