Triple Platinum - Young Men Prove Their Metal with a Unique Sound
Just out of high school, they write their own music and lyrics.
(PRWEB) -- Who knew that two young men would meet at the Hollywood Pop Academy, a private performance training program in Hollywood, CA, and rather than compete with each other -- they would form a band, write their own songs, create their own dance routines, and start performing 45-minute shows in less than six months?!
That is just what Chase Thompson from Pasco,Washington, and Jaye Thomas from Chino Hills, California did. Chase graduated high school in 2004 and talked his parents, Roland and Terri Thompson, into not only allowing him, but paying for everything to help him move to the big city of Los Angeles.
Jaye Thomas, who graduated in June from Chino Hills High School in Chino Hills, California, started going to voice lessons on Friday nights and attending the Saturday program at the Hollywood Pop Academy at the start of his senior year last fall. Formerly on the track team and already completing his black belt in karate, Jaye was an OK student, but he really loved singing in the school chorus -- after all he was only 1 of 4 young men with all those girls!
In late December, 2004 Jaye's mom, Joyce Thomas, met Andre Hunt while she was signing their family up for the new 24 Hour Fitness club. After graduating in 2004 from Ayala High School in Chino Hills, Andre, who won a partial basketball scholarship to Oklahoma University, was still in California, wanting to do hip-hop and become a rap artist. Andre literally rapped on-the-spot and was encouraged to contact Carl Thomas, Jaye's dad. He was accepted into the band, which became Triple Platinum.
By April, this year, Triple Platinum was formed, their website launched, and their original six songs can be sampled at www.Triple-Platinum.com. While they are working on 4 more songs, these first six have original lyrics and music and defy categorization. A little bit of hip-hop, a little jazz and some good old soul go into their fresh and dynamic style.
Their most recent performance, at the River of Fire Fourth of July Festival in Pasco, Washington wowed a group of over 300 parents, teenagers, and kids who were picnicing at the park. Arriving in a white stretch limo, they took the stage and performed for nearly an hour. After their 60 minute performance featuring "We Came to Party," "Thank You, "Style," "Oceanside" and some current hits, they signed autographs for over two hours.
About Us: Triple Platinum features Chase Thompson, Jaye Thomas, and Andre Hunt. They are available for 30-60 minute sets, with a DJ or a band.

Cowboys Auf Lederhosen, Ja
Arizona Singing Cowboy group will perform in Austria.
(PRWEB) -- The official Balladeers of America's fastest growing town, Gilbert, Arizona, Pioneer Pepper And The Sunset Pioneers, will represent the “cowboy way of life” in Austria this summer on their first international tour. Pioneer Pepper, Doc Bellows, Dusty Cartwright, “Perfessor” Rolland, Cassandra, Calena, and the engineering crew will temporarily trade in their spurs for boarding passes in August to take their Wild West Singing Cowboy show to Austria, with a possible stop off in London for a recording session sponsored by the BBC on their return trip.
Hands down, The Sunset Pioneers are one of the finest, most professional and talented Singing Cowboy groups in America today. The band leader, who goes by the stage name, Marshal Pioneer Pepper, was an Illinois police officer before moving his family to Central Arizona many years ago. He won state and national honors for his guitar playing, and played in numerous bands. But his real calling was to help preserve the purity and simplicity of the "cowboy way of life" and the "code of the west" by breathing new life into the best love songs in America which were once made famous by such talents as Gene Autry, Roy Rogers And The Sons Of The Pioneers, Bob Nolan, Sam Jones, and others.
Joining Marshal Pioneer Pepper on stage are Doc Bellows on harmony and accordion, Dusty Cartwright on acoustic bass and vocals, not to mention cowboy poetry, and last, but definitely not least, "Perfessor" Rolland on vocals and cowboy fiddle. You will look long and hard to find a fiddle player who puts more energy and drive into his trade. A state and national champion himself, "Perfessor" Rolland now has a son who is winning awards.
Speaking of children, the real show stealers are Pepper's own two young daughters, Cassandra and Calena who also perform with the group. Making her own way in the world of fiddlers, Cassandra, now twelve, won her first award at the age of eleven. And at eleven, Calena sings and plays guitar - a Fender guitar at that. Peeper and the band have also been named "Fender Artists," a great honor for any musician.
