| Q. How do I
get started? |
A.
New advertisers can sign up by going here.
Creating an account usually only takes a few minutes. Once you've set up your account, you can get started showing ads by clicking on the "View Campaigns" link. This will give you a list of every
advertising campaign available at BandFreaks.
Once you've selected the campaign you'd like a spot on, simply
click on the campaign name and follow the on-screen information to
place a bid and set up an account. With
$5.00 in your account starting up, your first (or first several) advertisements
and campaigns are free.
Really, we just want to get those "Your ad here" spots off
the pages.
Each advertising campaign is set up to arrange banner displays ads based on the highest bid. The advertiser in the number
one spot ranks heaviest in the rotation, while the advertisers who
bid lowest are the lightest on the banner or text link roll. This
way, you can get a great ad spot (like on the front page) to promote
your band, artist, or service -- and only pay pennies on the dollar
for it. Or heck, nothing at all. Ad campaigns come in both CPC (cost-per-click)
and CPM (cost-per-thousand impressions), and we certainly can't give away
free ad space forever.
After you've spent the free money in your account, you can add as
little as $5 in your advertising account to bid and place more ads
all over BandFreaks or just duck out and be done with it. There is no
obligation to stay an advertiser, and we won't hold anything against
you for it.
Got a service you want to promote
to artists? We also
offer great banner and text spots in the band area.
Don't have a banner?
There are several places to make and download a banner for free. Try any one of these services to create a banner to use for your campaign:
1. AdDesigner.Com [ click here to visit site ]
2. Quickbanner.Com (not free) [ click here to visit site ]
While we don't personally provide banner design
services, but their pretty cheap to have made for you (probably around
$20 for most of ours). Try contacting our web designers at graphics@granitecreek.net to see if they can't create one for your band.
